For just $125 per month (or $1500 per year), members of the Red Hat Club provide full support for one Voyageur’s season, covering:

• Uniform and maintenance

• Instrument and equipment needs

• Instruction

• Travel and performance expenses

Your generosity ensures that every child who wants to join can experience the music, teamwork, and tradition that make the Voyageurs so special — regardless of financial barriers.

2. Equip Our Musicians — $250

Fund durable music binders and protective supplies for our young musicians. These materials keep the Voyageurs' growing musical repertoire organized and protected through weekly rehearsals, performances, living-history events, and travel.

3. Protect Young Ears — $500

Fund musician-specific hearing protection for Voyageur members. This specialized hearing protection reduces harmful sound levels while still allowing young musicians to hear the music and musicians around them.

The Voyageurs also provide complimentary hearing protection for guests at indoor concerts, giving audience members the option to protect their hearing while enjoying the performance.

This investment helps make hearing safety part of both our youth music program and the experience we provide to our community.

4. Junior Fife & Drum Camp Scholarships — $10,000

Help send 20 Voyageur musicians to Junior Fife & Drum Camp in Connecticut, the only camp in the nation dedicated specifically to youth fife and drum musicians.

The camp is hosted by the Company of Fifers & Drummers, a national organization dedicated to preserving and advancing the traditions of fife and drum and of which the Voyageur Ancient Fife & Drum Corps is a member.

Each summer, young fifers and drummers from across the United States gather in Connecticut to learn, play, and grow together. Voyageur musicians have the opportunity to study with experienced fife and drum instructors, strengthen their musicianship, learn new music, build friendships with other young musicians, and connect with the broader national fife and drum community.

They also have the opportunity to represent the Voyageurs and their Indiana community alongside youth corps and musicians from across the country—and bring new music, skills, and experiences home to share with their Corps.

Funding helps cover travel, lodging, and tuition so that every Voyageur has the opportunity to participate, regardless of a family's financial circumstances.

5. Give the Gift of Music — A Voyageur's Forever Fife — $1,000

As Voyageur musicians progress through the Corps, they work toward an important milestone: mastering and receiving sign-off on 30 memorized pieces of music.

When a fifer reaches that milestone, they are presented with their own wooden fife in recognition of their dedication, musicianship, and hard work. Unlike the Corps instruments they use while learning, this instrument is theirs to keep.

The gift of music is something that stays with a young person long after they age out of the Corps. Their Forever Fife is an instrument they can continue playing and a lasting reminder of what they accomplished as a Voyageur.

6. Sponsor an Instructor — $2,000

Fund high-quality instruction for the Voyageurs' year-round youth music and living-history program.

Our instructors work with young musicians throughout the year, developing musical ability and preparing them for performances, parades, living-history events, and community educational programs. Along the way, they help young people develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership.

Providing year-round instruction at no cost to families is an essential part of keeping the Voyageur program accessible.

Funding Request: $2,000 per instructor

7. Sponsor Access — $2,500

Help ensure every Voyageur can fully participate in the 2027 performing season, regardless of a family's financial circumstances.

Voyageur musicians participate in long days of performances, parades, living-history events, and community programs—often traveling and participating for full weekends. An Access Sponsorship helps remove the additional costs that can become barriers to participation.

A $2,500 Access Sponsorship provides:

• Meals & Snacks — $1,500
  Provides meals and snacks for musicians during performances, travel, and extended event weekends.

• Transportation & Fuel — $1,000
  Helps transport musicians, instruments, uniforms, and equipment to performances and educational programs throughout the season.

The Voyageurs charge no dues or tuition and provide instruments, uniforms, instruction, and performance opportunities at no cost to families. Sponsoring access helps ensure that when an opportunity arises, every young musician has the ability to participate.

8. Purchase Historic Wooden Chairs — $1,000

Fund the purchase of 10 historically appropriate wooden chairs for Voyageur musicians to use during living-history performances and educational programs.

The Voyageurs bring history to life through music, storytelling, and interpretation at schools, festivals, assisted living communities, veterans events, and community programs. These appearances are designed to both educate and entertain, giving audiences an opportunity to experience history through the music and traditions of the past.

Because many of the living-history events where the Voyageurs perform have historical authenticity requirements, modern seating cannot always be used. These wooden chairs meet historic guidelines while providing needed seating for our young musicians and helping preserve the historical setting and educational experience for the public.

The chairs will become reusable program equipment that can travel with the Corps from one educational program and living-history event to the next.
