The corps performs at Fort Niagara in New York

The Voyageurs Ancient Fife and Drum Corps was formed in 1971 for the purpose of acquainting young people to the fine art of fifing and drumming. The Corps name comes from the French-Canadian “voyageurs” who, during the early 1700s traveled down the Wabash river by canoe to trade “fourrures” with the “habitants” of Fort Ouiatenan. The clothing worn by the Corps is similar to the clothing worn by those Voyageurs..
